I saw PSO on a preview DVD for theGameCube and became obsessed

  • Phantasy Star first made its impression on me instead even, or back with PS2 just reading about it, Although I began just playing PSU. I was a Nintendo kid, did not have a Sega, but among the gaming mags at the time needed a very spoilery strategy guide and I figure that"that" happening really threw me for a loop. Nearly all of my RPGing are Zelda and Final Fantasy and whatnot, but it has stayed with me to the day. Though I have friends who did I did not get into PSO regrettably. I did play with PSU for much of its life. I regret I did not get beyond like flat 80, but I found a Psycho Wand board or 2 before I stopped. I did play only a tiny PSO2 back as it came out and had to do it the Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta hard way.

I saw PSO on a preview DVD for theGameCube and became obsessed. It played with with The Entire New World and stopped showing Gal Gryphon in all its glory. Got it and played it with my brothers for years growing up. Today we still play. We hit at level 100 on Dark Falz in PSZ together with a little coordination. We were initially going to await PSO2's NA launch but it never came. A few years back I found out that you could play the JP servers but that I lost interest because my brothers weren't interested in doing this. They time has almost come when we can all play PSO2 together just like we did PSO and PSZ before them. I can't wait!

Gamecube for me. I picked up PSO 1&2 and BB. I never played back then but I'd countless hours hauled into the single player mode. If memory serves I managed to get into the second difficulty level but couldn't get beyond some of those bosses. Now I try out different classes and would make a personality. PSU came out and I was really excited but that quickly died after about half an hour of gameplay. It just felt like the wrong direction to me so I never picked it back up. I am excited to try PSO2 but I am not sure if I could like it like PSO BB.

My friends from the old days of playing really vague MMO mech game (C21 and Cosmic Split to be precise) encouraged me to playwith. Phantasy Star Online 2 itself is fine but due to overall incompetent localization and rampant monetization by Playpark, I chose to try VPNing my way to JP server. My god quality of additional content & life improvements made me give in and began playing from the beginning. But sadly, the majority of my friends have quit playing by now so I kinda have to survive alone on Ship 2 (basically a server with most english speaking players). This was around when Episode 3 dropped I think and I had a lot of fun grinding distinct classes to 75 (which surprisingly took me LESS time compared to grinding to 40 in SEA lol).

Been playing lone wolf for about a year, then switched to Ship 8 to begin playing a little more seriously (better economy and participant dps generally ) and fortunately got picked up with an english speaking team. I am in a position to reach end-game thanks to these and started a bit of an in-game cosplay hobby! Posted my Cast avatar twitter as Megaman X plus it frees up for some reason. I keep when I have money to cheap PSO2 Meseta spare 13, doing it since then.
