Will provide a new way to play, particularly for your NMS players, and will prevent NBA 2K21 from becoming repetitive too quickly. Will also help matters be more balanced and just be dependent on ability (and some luck on who you are able to draft). As it's a 13 man roster, you own a pool of 3 players to pick from in each round for 2K21 MT 13 rounds; could be reduced to 7-10 rounds so that you may or might not be forced to play with the gold or lower players thats the base of your group to get started. Entire draft should be 5 mins max.
Games set like unlimited in which you can buy prizes for the more wins but capped to a specific amount of Ws/Ls. Easy, interactive way to gain more VC/MT but may cost some to begin so that it isn't an endless supply of money (which is why I think contracts and injuries are a thing atm). Edited frequently throughout the year the newer cards that are better are included by the pool; base cards become diamonds at the end of the year. I know they had a draft before that was not upgraded and so not played thus taken out of NBA 2K21 however I feel like if it is handled and utilized correctly, it would be a big hit.
They had a draft style in 2K18, it sucked ass. I agree a draft style would be cool, but they would half ass it and ensure it is terrible and then go"see look, nobody plays it, we're doing it outside". I played it a ton cause it was the only means to play online games without going against god squads. I enjoyed it a lot. That year, Bundle and Playoffs felt just like one of the most modes in the game. The frustration is got by me, but by no means would any company spend that sort of money on a mode to sabotage it themselves.
By no way would any company add position locks release the card except 2K, at different positions. It costs nothing to develop a card. With are assets it costs a lot of money to program a new game style. No gaming company is going to spend that type of mo ey to intentionally sabotage that mode. From releasing 5 times to the identical giannis the Cheap MT 2K21 money they get, they could use it to provide us a draft style lol, it's not like it will cost them billions to add 1 game style.
