Even with all addons disabled

  • Even with all addons disabled, I noticed that WOW TBC Classic Gold the game would sometimes flicker regardless of whether VSync was either off or turned on. This was regardless of the fact that my GPU was over its limits. Zones like Nagrand with all its lush foliage, really would push and keep my GPU working at its maximum and eventually result in slowing down.

It appears that WoW does not appreciate my GPU throttle. My CPU wasn't even running at a brisk pace, but with my GPU operating at its maximum I would notice the flickering. The flickering would be aggravated by extensions.

Therefore, I set my in-game FPS limit to 60 and everything got significantly better. It's pretty annoying since after a few minutes of playing at a higher refresh speed you'll notice that the refresh rate has return to 60 FPS but it's way better than the flickering I had to deal with.

After tweaking my settings However, I noticed some flickering. While I believed it was the fault of my GPU however a portion of me thought it could be the culprit. In other games in which my GPU was also being stretched over its limits, I'd not be having issues. It's time to upgrade my GPU, which means I'll need a new one. (I had planned to upgrade my GPU, but ...) I'm thinking that the GPU is in good shape. There aren't any hardware issues.

The reason I am unsure is that my issue goes back to buy Burning Crusade Classic Gold the reality that my version Windows 10 does not have the most recent DWM, Desktop Window Manager, refresh rate code. It will then need to adjust the WoW rate on my primary monitor to match that of my GPU, which usually is not more than 144 FPS. Since my second monitor was keeping 144hz as was the DWM would cause an increase in brightness as it would lose frames on my primary monitor.
