  • We're eagerly waiting for the announcement of who will be on the cover of Madden NFL 22 this year. EA Sports has announced that the cover for the following season will be announced on July 17th, Thursday. The company also sent us a teaser trailer that provides clues to the person's identity (we received a cameo from Madden 22 coins cover player Peyton Hillis). The cover can be found here.

Two goats that were significantly older than the other caused a row in the barn, before emerging to show the year.

There are only a few days to find out who will grace the cover of this year's issue. We decided to go through some of the candidates who could be qualified for the honour. Here are the top three choices for an athlete to cover and our top three choices should EA Sports chooses to cover two players, like the teaser suggests.

Four of Madden NFL's most recent cover stars were quarterbacks. It's only natural that our top choice is one who is able to play in the middle. Following a season in 2020 which he was an MVP-level quarterback, Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a fantastic choice for the next season of the Madden videogame franchise. After playing in the AFC Championship, Allen set record-setting records for passing yards as well as passing touchdowns. Allen was Buffalo just two steps away from the Super Bowl appearance. At this stage in his career, Allen is already a star. Allen is a favorite of the Bills Mafia would like to have Allen's name and image on the cover of the Super Bowl.

If you're not looking to protect the quarterback I can't imagine why you should overlook Derrick Henry. It was reported that there was a report in March which suggested Henry could be the cover's athlete. While it's not certain whether Henry will make the cover of this year's issue, it's certain that he is worthy of it. The big-bodied running back often appears to be playing a video game as the defenders he runs over almost every single day. Henry was the league's top player in rushing for two consecutive seasons and surpassed every skill position player in the 2020 season to have the most years at the scrimmage (2141). Madden NFL covers are not feasible if you've got 126.7 yards per game.

While you may laugh at the idea of defensive players making it on the Madden NFL Cover, it's not uncommon. Richard Sherman was the last defense player to make the Madden NFL 15 cover athlete. Ray Lewis (Madden NFL 2005) and Troy Polamalu were also there. Donald is by far the most powerful player on the cover side of the ball, being a member for four straight seasons in the 99 Club. In this regard the only way to get to is to finally get on the front line.

When the teaser trailer was released in the last week of this week, everyone believed that this was the result of a combination. It's not a secret that Tom Brady is considered the most successful quarterback ever (G.O.A.T), and Patrick Mahomes is widely considered to be the next great quarterback. It's normal to think that there's a chance or possibility of two players being featured on the cover. But, EA Sports' teaser includes an older goat and baby goat. It's possible to envision Brady as well as Mahomes. Both quarterbacks have appeared featured on the Madden NFL Cover before, with Brady buy Mut 22 coins part in Madden NFL 18, and Mahomes doing the same in Madden NFL 20.
