Grand Exchange Price of F2p Ranes

  • Why are air/earth runes less expensive than OSRS Gold mind/(body) runes of the Grand Exchange ...Don't say "Supply and Demand" I'm sure of that. Earth runes (39 gp), water runes (37) and air runes (20 gp), all must be in good supply, and therefore have more Grand Exchange prices. Fire runes (6 and mind runes (5, gp), body runes (7, GBP) are not needed in the same way since they are not as popular since their Grand Exchange pricing is comparatively lower.

It is reasonable to think that air runes would be relatively inexpensive since (1) runecrafters are able to create the highest multiple of air runes over any other rune (increasing supply of air runes), (2) air running is quite well-known (again increasing the supply of air runes), (3) most people will purchase an air staff instead of an earth, water or fire staff (decreasing demand for air runes). But, air runes cost 22 grams and are more expensive that fire/mind/body.

Why are earth runes (39gp) and water (37gp) more affordable than mind/fire runes? I'm just curious. Some reasons; Water runes are used for blitz/barrage which is very popular in P2P. They are rare drops of monsters and not a common craft.

Many monsters drop huge amounts of fire runes. Mind runes are largely ineffective. Remember that air runs are those runes that are most often seen in spells that are standard in Old School RS Gold the spelling book. Body runes are inexpensive since they are incomprehensible, with the exception of cheap levels. The Vengeance spell requires 10 earth runes at any specified time. This spell isn't P2P.
