Fans of the game is going to be tested of sort when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game are launched. In contrast to other games, 2K Sports opted to make separate versions of their game NBA 2K Coins. It's not without risk particularly with the tiny number of users who come with a new system launch. The developers wanted to demonstrate unique features in these games.

While Take-Two is willing to do that with NBA2K however, it's not at the same speed as its other best-selling titles. Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be playable with backward compatibility on both next-gen systems, while the upgraded version of GTA V, as well as the standalone version of GTA Online, won't be released until the second-half of next year.
And that's directly because of the small number of next-generation systems that are going to be installed within the homes of homeowners. "The installed base will appear a bit smaller next week than it will be towards the end of calendar 2021."
