Horadric Cube Recipes for Diablo II: Resurrected

  • The Horadric Cube is an ancient piece of Horadric design, that is used to transform items such as gear, runes gems, potions, and scrolls into more powerful versions of the first, add sockets to existing armor, and make specific magical items. It can be used to create items that unlock new worlds and adventures. It's also used to make the item required to open the famous Secret Cow Level!

How can I obtain the Horadric Cube

As part of Act II's questing, players can obtain the Horadric Cube. It is located within the Halls of the Dead and guarded by Bloodwitch the Wild. You can get the Cube by defeating Bloodwitch. Since it's available on Normal mode, you will get the Cube in the early hours.

    Horadric Cube Basics

It's possible to keep the Horadric Cube in your inventory, or keep it in your storage. The majority of people store it in their stash. The Horadric Cube is 2x2 spaces, but it has 12 slots. Some players store their items inside the Horadric Cube temporarily while they perform their Transmutes. Make sure to remember to take them back up.

To utilize the Horadric Cube make sure you place the right set of materials in the Cube and then click the Transmute button located at the bottom. If you don't possess the appropriate materials, it will not accomplish anything.

Transmutes cannot be reversed. Before you mix, be sure you understand what you're doing!

    Horadric Cube Recipes

All of these are known Horadric Cube recipes. There is a possibility of several recipes that produces the same result.

Some recipes will be unavailable for players who opt to play Classic, without the Lord of Destruction (LoD) expansion enabled. The recipes that require LoD to work are marked with a in the final column.

Convert Magic Item to Horadric Cube recipes

This conversion randomly rerolls all Magic prefixes/affixes. Converted Magic items retain the same iLvl of the original item and choose appropriate affixes/prefixes for that iLvl. Since conversion is mostly popular to reroll Charms and Jewels It is important not to waste Perfect Gems rerolling low-level items. Both roll with higher qualities at higher levels.

Recipes for Rare Items in Horadric Cubes

There are two types of Rare Item conversions: Low Quality and High Quality. Both types can convert one Rare item to a Rare item that has magical properties randomly rerolled. But, the low quality item will generally convert to an item that has an iLevel lower than the original item, while the High Quality item is likely to roll at a higher iLvl than the original. The calculation is by combining the item's iLvl, and the character's cLvl.

    These formulae are:

Low Quality: int(0.4xcLvl), + int=0.4xcLvl = item that has been converted to ILvl

    High-Quality conversion: int(0.66 x cLvl) + int=(0.66 x cLvl) = item that was converted to iLvl

If you own two items with iLvl 80 and an iLvl72 based character that you want to convert them both, the converted item will change to iLvl60 (60.8 rounding down) and will be converted to a Low Quality Conversion and the iLvl100 (100.32, rounding up) for a High quality conversion. Although it might not be helpful to lowerrank an item in the first place, this low-level conversion method could help in creating rare items that are helpful for leveling alts.

    Recipes for Socket Horadric Cubes

Rules for Sockets and Adding Sockets:

Rare items cannot have more than one socket. Use the Rare recipe only on unsocketed items.

The Horadric Cube cannot add sockets to Set Items or Unique items. Some will come with native sockets. (Sets and Uniques could come with a socket attached to a helmet, chest, shield, or weapon via the Larzuk quest Act V, one time per difficulty level.

Javelins as well as other Thrown weapons cannot have sockets. A socket for weapon is not compatible with the weapon. However, it can give properties that can be rolled but not sockets.

Only Normal, unsocketed items can use armor socket recipes. This recipe won't work on products of low or poor quality.

The amount of sockets that an item can have is limited by the iLvl.

Runewords are not compatible with armor or weapons of socketed magic.

The Gem Upgrade Horadric Cube Recipes

You can make a higher-level Gem by combining 3 Gems of the next lower type. Combining like types is not possible. 3 Amethysts chipped together create one Flawed Amethyst.

Rune Upgrade Recipes for Horadric Cube

By combining three Runes from the same lower level, you can make an upper-level Rune. three El (#1) runes create one Eld (#2) rune. When you are able to create runes that are Amn (#11) and above, you'll have to include Gems that have different types and characteristics.

Rune Upgrades need access to Runes. This means that characters that have the LoD expansion enable these recipes.

Token of Absolution Horadric Cube Recipe

You can reset all your attributes and skills with the token of Absolution. The ingredients are found in the next Act Bosses of Hell difficulty:
