I don't ever mind that stuff if they're up front. To earn the trinket, I was in my SP group for 11 consecutive days. I was sure that the other 2 DPs didn't need it. Many wanted the leather legs, or simply turn on their attune. It's a mess when they wait until you're in the public eye or even worse at the boss and have their friends all rolling on it so they can trade it to them.
Farming bis gear was hard for someone who had an entire bis rogue alt. Between the time I was 70, my mage was only about 50% bis. Crafting tailoring gear for crafting is simple. Kara is almost entirely equipped with the same gear, and my mage only had to use gear from Prince as I reached the age of 70. Rogue isn't as easy to raid as, compared to my mage and shaman. It's much simpler to bombard bolts with less damage than the damage from uptime cooldowns, combopoints and management of energy between ea and dps.
Not really a lot left , it's nothing more than a "rogues are trash" meme that people accept it as fact. I'm a top-ranked dp in all my dungeons. There is like 1 part of the content that we're at a disadvantage and everyone trashes rogues.
They also have a hard when it comes to joining raids, as raids will only want one and only if they have the physical dps. Even if they get admitted, they'll have to be speccing into more exposed armour. This is basically a buff that the player must spec. This means that you'll be required to spec every when you wish to raid or pvp.
They'll be able to get all the power they require from another class that is able to do more damage per square inch. It's the best option for pvp. This leaves the majority of rogues not able to pvp but are able to do pve. That's unfortunate because rogues bis pvp weapon requires a LOT of pve gear, meaning if you are not "the guild rogue who is equipped to obtain warglaives" you'll struggle to play pvp too, as everyone is going to be out with gear that you.
For the moment an old mage of 70 years can hit cheap Burning Crusade Classic Gold a button to gain the pve. If he or she isn't out in dps at the moment, he could be competing with a wizard in dps. along with bringing sheep (much more efficient than sap) or frost nova. water/food for the team and buff.
